Where is it happening?

The Champ’Ard’Aisne event takes place between the Champagne, Ardennes, and Aisne regions, with a central bivouac set up for the entire weekend at the Arden Parks campsite in Signy-l’Abbaye.
The camp is open for all two days: whether you come in a tent, van, or motorhome, everyone will easily find a spot, with the option of leaving motorcycles, vehicles, and trailers nearby. Breakfast and dinner are shared under the organizers' tents, prepared by our catering partner Chris&Co. Drinks (excluding water) are not included, but a refreshment stand will be available on site.
The Cocoricorando staff will be present all weekend to welcome you, provide directions, and attend to the group's needs. An electrical point is available for charging GPS devices and smartphones, and our osteopath is on hand to help you recover if needed.

Which motorcycles?

Woinic has nothing against humans and their unusual machines, as long as they know how to be discreet. The Champ’Ard’Aisne is therefore primarily designed for trail and maxi-trail bikes, motorcycles suited to adventure and endurance. Lighter, smaller-displacement, or enduro-type motorcycles can also participate, provided they strictly comply with current regulations—particularly regarding noise. Vintage motorcycles, sidecars, and electric motorcycles are welcome and contribute fully to the diversity of the field. The road version, however, is open to all road motorcycles, without distinction, as long as the focus is on leisurely rides and exploration, far removed from any performance-driven approach.

The Program & Practical Information

The 2-day event starts on Saturday morning, but it is possible—and highly recommended—to arrive as early as Friday afternoon to settle in comfortably at the bivouac. Breakfast is served every morning from 7:30 a.m., followed by the briefing at 8:30 a.m. Departures then proceed progressively, regulated by the staff to avoid a "herd of wild boars" effect and preserve the tranquility of everyone… and that of Woinic. Lunches are not included: participants are free to organize their own meals according to their preferences and progress on the routes. Suggestions for restaurants and local stops are listed in the booklet distributed at the start of the event, and a "pack of 2 picnic baskets" option is available upon registration. In case of a major mechanical problem, the organizers can intervene to assist you. The services are included in the registration fee, excluding parts, consumables and supplies.

What are the routes like and how do I follow them?

For the off-road motorcycle version, two mixed (road/trail) routes are offered. The Adventure route prioritizes smooth and accessible trails, bypassing the most challenging sections; it is perfectly suited for first-time off-road riding. The Extreme route adds a few more demanding sections, without ever becoming excessive or inaccessible. A 100% paved route is also available and can serve as a backup option, particularly in case of fatigue or adverse weather.
The road motorcycle registration grants access to entirely paved routes, alternating between beautiful winding roads and small country lanes, for a daily mileage of between 230 and 300 km. Some sections cross areas steeped in history, notably around the Chemin des Dames, adding a true heritage dimension to the ride.
On roads and trails, navigation is done independently using GPS (or your usual smartphone app); the routes are not marked. One week before the event, you will receive all the GPX files—as well as TRB files for Tripy users—corresponding to your registration. The Tripy II GPS, available for rent, offers excellent readability of the roadbook. As always, participating in the Champ’Ard’Aisne requires adherence to the Highway Code: the route uses only roads open to traffic.
